Mom:
The following conversations are commonly heard at home.  When my kids were on vacation, these were heard more often in the summer, than any other time of the year.  Please note that I was also at home, working.
Mommy, Kuyan said a bad word.
What did Kuyan say?
I mean Ku-ya Ryan said a bad word.
What did he say?
He said the "S" word.
What "S" word?
He said stupid.
Ryan, do not say the "S" word.

Mommy, Kugie is looking at me.
Why is Kugie looking at you?
I said Ku-ya Reggie is looking at me.
That's because he likes you, Ryland.
Mommy, Kuya Ryan is laughing at me.
Ryan, stop laughing at Ryland.
Mommy, Kuya Reggie is bugging me.
Reggie, stop bugging your brother.

Why is Ryan crying?
Coz he didn't win our game.
Ryan, be a good sport.  You can't always win a game.

Good morning, Ryan.  Why are you crying?
Coz I'm the last one to wake up.
Well, not everything's a game, Ryan.

Mommy, Ryland kissed me.
Where did he kiss you?
Here on my hand.
Well, aren't you lucky.  I think he likes you.
I don't like it.   It's yucky.

Mommy, Kuya Reggie won't 'ligo' me. (Reggie won't give him a bath)
Why?
Because he's mad at me.
What did you do?
I took his Yu-Gi-Oh card.
Why did you take it?  Give it back to him then.
But I want it.
Well, that's his.  You give it back to him.  Ok, go in the bathroom and I will 'ligo' you.
I want Kuya Reggie to 'ligo' me.
Well, then, you give him his card back.
Oh, OK.

It's my turn to use the computer.
No, it's my turn, you already used it in the morning.
I want to use it, too.
I'll use it first, I will just check my emails.  Then you get half an hour each.

Ryan, don't run on the stairs.
There's nothing to do.
Ryland, don't jump on the couch.
Can we play outside?
Yes, please, go play outside.

Sino'ng magsasaing? (Who's gonna cook rice?)
Me.  Ilang gatang (How many cups), mommy?
Lima (Five).
Mommy, do I cook the chicken now?
Yes, please.  Thank you.

Ow, I got an ow-ie on my knee.
Come here, let me kiss your ow-ie.
Ow, I hurt my bum.
Do you want me to kiss your bum?
(smiling) No, that's OK, mommy.

I want a hug mommy.
Come here and I'll give you a big hug.
I like you mommy.
I like you too, baby.
