Yes, you're right, always look at the bright side of life. As newcomers, we have the reason to be frustrated with the weather condition here in Winnipeg but we're not. We are fortunate that we're here. We are more worried with what's happening in the Phils. right now. Imagine, the exchange rate of US$ 1 is now P56 while C$ is P43. When we left the Phils, they're P52 and P34, respectively. Adding insult to injury, FPJ will run for President and he might win. I am thankful that there is no winter in the Phils. because many will die of the freezing cold since they will not
afford to have a heater in their houses. You know, their incomes are not even enough to feed their families. I remember when Ate Dela called Ate Flor, she was complaining that she can no longer afford to buy galunggong which is now P100/kilo considering that Tio Ruming is only earning P250/day. This is inspite of the fact that they are provided with free housing, electricity, water and a sack of rice. We hope that someday we could be of help to this people.
