Are you running out of room on your fridge door for pictures that your kids have drawn? You don't want to throw them away, do you? You could put them in a binder. My kids loved this idea. They sometimes want to take a look at the pictures that they have drawn. It's like looking through a picture book.
Need ideas to decorate your children's room? You could let them paint the walls with their own drawings. Quite a few schools in my area are doing this. In my son's school, the gym was painted by the students themselves. The patterns for the pictures were actually drawn for them, buy they got to apply the paint themselves. This gives the children a sense of pride in their work. Letting your children paint their bedrooms also gives them a chance to have a say in how they want to decorate their rooms. And if they grow tired of it in the later years, you could always re-paint the walls.
Here's another idea. Last summer, I picked some of my oldest son's best artwork from school and put them in matching frames. I hang the frames on the kids' bedroom walls. My son liked this idea. He and his brothers like looking at the pictures on the walls.
It's also a good idea to preserve your children's school
works. At the end of every school year, I compile their art works, journals and compositions that they wrote at school. Each of them have their own scrapbook. We sometimes look at them. It is really fun to see how their handwriting and works improve as they grow older.
