On November 5, 2003, Senior One Students across Canada took part in Take Our Kids to Work Day.  This program offers an authentic opportunity for students.  It helps Senior One students connect school, the world of work, and their own futures.  It has brought together parents, relatives, friends of families, teachers, and people in workplaces to contribute to the career development of young people.
Ronald's employer won't allow students in his workplace due to safety reasons.  Since I work at home, and it's not really a workplace environment, I asked my friends at work to host Reggie for that day.

Reggie and I arrived at Great West Life at around 8:00 a.m.  After I introduced him to my supervisor, we went to see my Kumareng Empress.  I left Reggie with her and I headed back home to do my work.  Reggie sat with Empress in the morning.  She explained to him the daily routine of our job as claim adjusters.  At around 10:45 a.m., Reggie went to the cafeteria to meet with the other Senior One students and a staff took them to a tour of the building.  Reggie had lunch with Empress and a bunch of my friends.  After lunch, Empress brought Reggie to the mail room and left him with my friend Jophine for the afternoon.  Jophine showed Reggie how to open and sort the mail.  I came to pick him up at around 3:30 p.m.  I asked him, "How did it go?"  "It was boring," he replied.
I don't think that Reggie sees himself doing this kind of work.  He wants to be a musician and he dreams of going to Japan to meet the great Nobuo Uematsu, Final Fantasy music composer.
